Pohorje Landscape Park (Slovene: Krajinski park Pohorje) encompasses the Pohorje mountain range, situated south of the Drava River in northeastern Slovenia. The area is characterized by gently rolling hills, extensive beech and spruce forests, peat bogs, and crystal-clear mountain streams. Covering a large portion of the Pohorje massif, the park's elevation ranges from about 300 meters to just over 1,500 meters above sea level, with its highest peak being Črni Vrh at 1,543 meters. The park protects a diverse mosaic of ecosystems including subalpine meadows and wetlands, which harbor numerous endemic and rare plant species such as the edelweiss and various orchids. Wildlife in the park includes red deer, roe deer, chamois, wild boar, and numerous bird species like capercaillie and woodpeckers.
